Swatch's proud partnership with Into Film
We’re delighted to join forces with Into Film, the UK’s premier film education charity, and become a main partner of Every Child a Filmmaker, their film education empowerment program for children from diverse backgrounds and underrepresented groups.
November 2023 marks the 10th anniversary of the Into Film Festival, the UK’s largest free film festival for schools and young people – and the opening of entries for the Swatch category of the Into Film Awards.
Shortlisted entries get to take part in filmmaking workshops, with a finalist selected in March 2024. In April, the winning film is made with the help of professional filmmakers, and come June, it’s time for the Into Film Awards. In November 2024, the winners of the Swatch categories are screened at the Into Film Festival.
Swatch supports Every Child a Filmmaker
Every Child a Filmmaker is Into Film’s new program aimed at giving every child the opportunity to bring their ideas to life through film. Designed and delivered by film professionals, the program trains and inspires kids and teens between the ages of 5 and 19, living in socially and educationally disadvantaged areas to tell their own stories through film and empowers them with filmmaking, digital and transferable skills.
As a long-term lover and supporter of ground-breaking art, we are delighted to be a main partner of the program and to sponsor the Time for Action film category at the Into Film Awards held in March 2024. The Time for Action category is for short films that aim to raise awareness around important issues and capture young people's hopes and dreams for a better tomorrow.
The Swatch category winner will be screened at the Into Film Festival 2024, to a whopping 400,000 attendees, and made available on Into Film+, a streaming service for schools.
